The early Jurassic tetanuran Cryolophosaurus walks under a cliff in prehistoric Antarctica. Cryolophosaurus is the only theropod known from Antarctica, as well as being one of the earliest tetanurans (the group of theropods that includes T. rex and birds). During the early Jurassic, Antarctica was probably much like central Alaska today.
